THE STORY BEHIND WHY I MADE THIS ARTWORK:
Close-up views of botanical details focus attention the subtle textures, colors, and reflections of nature. When we look at nature closely, we discover remarkable and beautiful details. The tiniest of water droplets collect on a flower petal, magnifying its brilliance, and reflecting light back to the world. If we look close enough, would we not see ourselves mirrored in the reflection? If we looked at ourselves as closely, studied our tiniest details as a human, would we also see our own brilliance and beauty magnified?
